The man who kidnapped a 16-year old Lakeside girl after he killed her mother and brother, and then was later killed by FBI agents, left money to his victim's family.

A spokesman for the James Dimaggio family said the long-time friend of Brett and Christina Anderson, left $112,000 to Hannah Anderson's grandmother. Andrew Spanswick did not know why DiMaggio left the money to the family but believes it is for Hannah.

The money comes from a life insurance policy provided by Scripps Research Institute of San Diego where Dimaggio worked as a telecommunications technician.
