A substance found by a school janitor in Ocean Beach that caused a scene Thursday morning turned out to be a baking ingredient. Hazmat crews were called out to Sunset View Elementary School when a custodian said he was burned by a white powder substance which turned out to be unbleached flour. Police think the janitor may have scraped his arm when he collected a sample of the flour. His burns vanished soon after the hazmat crew showed up. The school day carried on as normal after students were kept in their classrooms during the investigation.
