Fans waited hours for the chargers to return home from Cincinnati and roared with excitement when the buses returned the team to Chargers Park. “This is awesome,” said Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. “It brings back memories from when we won the division round back in 2007 -- so I am sure this will only grow. We've got to keep winning.”

“This surprised everybody,” added running back Ronnie Brown.  “It was exciting … to get our first playoff win and try to keep it going it means a lot.” Chargers head coach Mike McCoy was also caught up in the excitement and shook hands with fans.

“It’s great for the fan, great for the whole entire organization,” said McCoy when talking about the fan reception.  “It's a great environment. This is awesome.” The Bolts move on to play the Broncos next Sunday in Denver, the AFC's top seed.

The game starts at 1:40 p.m. (PT).
