There were no serious injuries after a wrong-way driver caused a crash on Interstate 5 in La Jolla early Tuesday morning.

At about 3:15 a.m., emergency dispatchers began receiving calls about a vehicle traveling north in the I-5 southbound lanes for several miles. A little before 3:30 a.m., the vehicle struck another driver near the Gilman Drive exit in La Jolla, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, which closed the freeway for about 15 minutes.

The exact circumstances of the collision were not confirmed. A woman was later arrested on drunken driving charges
