A car collided head-on with a Sycuan Casino bus carrying nine casino employees in Dehesa Tuesday.
The crash in the 5200 block of Dehesa Road occurred just before 6:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Crews extricated the driver, a 33-year-old male from Alpine, out of his wrecked 2008 Chrysler 300. That victim was airlifted to Sharp Memorial Hospital with major injuries shortly before 8 a.m., according to Cal Fire Battalion Chief Nick Schuler.
The CHP reported that two passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to Grossmont Hospital.
Initial reports from the highway patrol indicate the Chrysler crossed the center line at about 40-45 mph and smashed into the bus as it prepared to turn into the casino.
There was no word yet on whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
Dehesa Road was closed for the investigation, the CHP reported.
