Mission Trails Regional Park was scheduled to re-open Tuesday following Sunday's wildfire that started near the Visitor Center. It burned almost 100 acres and was contained Monday night. No homes or other structures were damaged but one firefighter was treated at a hospital for heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation. Two air tankers and three helicopters helped prevent the spread of the flames down toward Santee.
Anyone with information about how the fire started should call the San Diego Fire Department.
