(Cleveland) – Construction workers have finished installing the steel frame of the pedestrian walkway that will connect the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland to the parking garage that is diagonally across the corner of Ontario and Prospect Avenues.
Crews closed the intersection of Prospect and Ontario Friday evening so the walkway frame could be lifted into place by two large cranes. After that, the remaining 25 feet of the frame was built in the air.
Construction of the 175-foot walkway continues through the end of the year, and should be open in early 2014.
The project costs $7 million, and the walkway is designed to allow people to go from the parking garage into the casino without going outdoors.
