(Chardon) - Hundreds of people including students, faculty members, residents and others lined the Chardon High School cafeteria Thursday night for a prayer service marking the second anniversary of the deadly shootings inside that same cafeteria.

Student T.J. Lane shot and killed fellow students Danny Parmertor, Demetrious Hewlin and Russell King Jr. February 27, 2012 and wounded Nick Walczak, leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair.

Lane is serving three life sentences for his acts.  Students who spoke with Newsradio WTAM 1100 say they continue to heal.  Others in attendence say the continued sense of family among Chardon's residents continues the healing process as well.

Retired Chardon School Superintendent Joe Bergant says there is not a day he does not think of the tragedy.  Bergant retired following last school year.  He says the school staff was well prepared in the event of such an incident.
