Thousands In Unclaimed $$ In San Diego County

Get your money before it’s gone. There’s only one week left to claim part of $380,000 in unclaimed money before it is turned over to the county. San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan Mcallister tells KOGO News 1503 people are owed refunds.

The smallest refund available is $10, and the largest refund is $22,720.

Those owed money either overpaid property taxes or are due refunds from down payments for permits.

Current state law says countywide money that is unclaimed for three years and property tax refunds that are unclaimed for four years must be turned over to the County’s general fund.
