Earthquake Rattles San Diego County

A 4.8 late night earthquake Thursday centered near the U.S.- Mexico border was felt in a wide area of San Diego County from the inland mountains to the coast.

The quake hit at 11:43 p.m. and was centered 7.5 miles from Ocotillo according to the U.S. Geological Survey which said the quake was about 5.6 miles deep.

The quake was followed by aftershocks, the largest measuring 3.4. There was no immediate reports of damage.
