Next week marks the 13th anniversary of the Sept 11th attack on America.
At the time, President Bush warned us that the war against terrorism could last for decades. It appears he was exactly right.
Now 13 years after 9-11, there are more terrorists and they are more brutal.
The beheadings of two Americans, literally at the hands of members of the self-proclaimed Islamic State have made it clear that the war on terror is far from over.
The gruesome videos of these evil acts and the slaughter of innocent men women and children in Iraq should outrage us and should also motivate us to strike quickly and strike massively.
But as California U. S Senator Diane Feinstein put it this week, "I think I've learned one thing about this president, that is he's very cautious. Maybe in this instance, too cautious.”
And maybe he is. Especially with those like the British prime minister and others saying these so-called ISIS terrorists are planning an attack here in the U.S.
But there are those who urge caution. Who say it is wiser to move slowly.
You just can’t help but worry that the terrorists may be among them.
