We all know San Diego is a great place to live and a new survey suggests it is a great place to age. According to a new report from the Milken Institute, America's Finest City comes in at 22 on the list of 100 cities for successful aging.

Getting the highest rating was Provo, UT, followed by Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Salt Lake City and Des Moines, IA.

According to the report's author, Paul Irving, "Lifespans are extending into eight, nine, and ten decades, and older adults increasingly are seeking lifelong engagement and purpose."

The survey included such issues as general livability, health care, wellness, financial security, living arrangements, employment, education, transportation and convenience, and community engagement.
