The arrest of a man caught on video is going viral, after some people say San Diego Police used unnecessary force. The video shows a police dog assisting in the arrest of a man who is accused of attacking a cab driver, attempting to steal a motorcycle and threatening an officer.
The K-9 clamps down on the man's arm, and stays there for at least 30 seconds, which some people are saying is unnecessary, since the man was already in handcuffs.
San Diego Police are defending the actions, saying the officer used the appropriate technique to get the dog to release, but sometimes it's just not that easy.
The man suffered minor injuries, and was taken into custody on charges of robbery, attempted theft, and being under the influence of drugs.
