Man Wanted For Burglary and Identity Theft In Poway

The man is wanted for ripping off a backpack out of a car on New Year's night and using two credit cards.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Poway Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a car burglary, using a stolen credit card, and identity theft. 

On January 1, 2018 at about 9:15 p.m., an unknown suspect took a backpack from a vehicle that was parked in front of a home in the 12900 block of Rios Road in Poway. 

The backpack contained a wallet, an Apple laptop and a Google cell phone which was later recovered by sheriff’s deputies, in the middle of a nearby street. 

At about 11:00 p.m., two of the victim's credit cards were fraudulently used at a Circle K/Mobile gas station located at 14863 Pomerado Road by an unknown male suspect. 

The suspect was driving a newer model blue Chevrolet sedan with unknown plates.

 Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a white adult male. He was last seen wearing glasses, a dark colored Nike polo shirt and light blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
