California Woman Sues Over Bigfoot

Bigfoot is real according to one California woman and she wants to prove it in court.

Claudia Ackley says she encountered Sasquatch while on a hike with her kids in the nearby town of Blue Jay in the San Bernardino mountains. According to the Lake Arrowhead woman, her daughter actually spotted the massive man-like creature covered in hair first, staring at them while up about 30-feet in some trees.

"He looked like a Neanderthal man with a lot of hair," Ackley told ABC 7. "About 800 pounds. I was trying to tell it to please not hurt us, and that's when he just stared at me."

According to Ackley, there were two other Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) nearby. She says her daughter captured footage of the strange encounter, which you can view here

Ackley called 911 to report the mythical apes, but she says authorities didn't believe her. Now, she's filing a lawsuit against the state of California and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for refusing to acknowledge the existence of Bigfoot.

So is there a Sasquatch hiding in the mountains of Southern California? Previous alleged encounters with Bigfoot have taken place mostly in the Pacific Northwest, but people say they've spotted the folklore tale come to life in forests all over the world.
