Florida Public Schools Must Display "In God We Trust" Motto By Law

Public schools in Florida must display the national motto, “In God We Trust,” starting this week.

Public schools in Florida must display the national motto, “In God We Trust,” starting this week thanks to a bill that was singed into law by Governor Rick Scott.

It requires “each district school board” to display the national motto inside “all of the schools of the district and in each building used by the district school board.”

Florida now joins Tennessee, Arkansas and South Carolina as states who have recently passed laws making it mandatory to display this motto.
