San Diego Walk/Run To Promote Zero Prostate Cancer

A walk and run this month in San Diego is part of a national movement to declare Zero Prostate Cancer.

As we hear repeatedly, early diagnosis is key.

Oncologist Dr. Reza Shirazi of Genesis Healthcare, sponsor of the walk, tells KOGO news testing should begin at 55. But men with a history of prostate cancer in the family, or African American men should be tested starting at 45.

The 2018 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - San Diego features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program.

It's Saturday, September 22nd, at De Anza Cove.

The run and walk begin at 9 am.
