I have never had kids, so maybe I am missing a key piece of info here...but I really, REALLY don't get this. At all.
I understand that having a baby is one of those great life-moments that some people feel needs to be celebrated, apparently through the entire pregnancy.
I wouldn't know.
But, what I don't understand is anything beyond a baby shower.
And I certainly don't understand setting off an explosion in an obviously dry field, so you can send a blue smoke-signal for miles, announcing that it's a boy.
The ensuing fire burned 47,000 acres.
This kind of thing is why we can't have fireworks, people.
