Scooter, Bike, Pedestrian And Car Safety In San Diego

Safety advocates say scooters are likely here to stay, and riders, pedestrians and cars are going to have to learn to live together.

There has been one fatality of a man in Chula Vista on a scooter. A man was killed in December when he was hit from behind.

The head of Circulate San Diego, Colin Parent, tells KOGO News we need more slow lanes for scooters and bike riders.

In the meantime, everyone needs to slow down.

He says right now a protected bicycle track network is being built in downtown San Diego, and he hopes the network will eventually be in other neighborhoods as well.
