Photo Here: Police Looking For Gaslamp Assault Suspect

San Diego Police are asking for your help to find a man who broke another man's skull during a fight in the Gaslamp last month. Police say it happened around 2:30a.m. on March 15 outside of the Andaz Hotel on F Street. The victim was approached by a group of five men. For an unknown reason, one of the men punched the victim in the face several times. The victim fell and hit his head on the ground, breaking a cheek bone. He also had to have surgery to his skill, including the placement of a metal plate.

The group of men ran away from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20's, muscular build, short hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white shirt, black pants and black sneakers. He he had multiple tattoos on both arms.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call SDPD’s Central Division at (619) 744-9536 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
