Crews Working To Contain Brush Fire Burning in Valley Center

Crews are working to get a fire under control that broke out in Valley Center Friday afternoon.

The #Millerfire was reported around 1 p.m. on Cole Grade Lane at Miller Lane. According to Cal Fire there's heavy fuel in the area where the fire has already burned an estimated 37 acres with 20 percent containment.

There are some reported road closures as a result of the fire. Cole Grade Rd. at the intersections of Miller Lane, Valley Center Rd. and Oak Glen Place.

An evacuation center has been set up at the Valley Center Community Center located at 28246 Lilac Road.
