In a KOGO Newsmaker interview, San Diego Republican Congressman Duncan D. Hunter's father talks about his son after he pleaded guilty to illegal campaign spending.
On Friday, Dec 6th, Rep. Hunter issued this statement:
“Shortly after the Holidays I will resign from Congress. It has been an honor to serve the people of California’s 50th District, and I greatly appreciate the trust they have put in me over these last 11 years.”
Hunter is scheduled to be sentenced on March 17, 2020. His wife Margaret pleaded guilty in the case last summer and also is scheduled for sentencing.
