Lights at the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at U-C San Diego will be red for the month of February, as part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Campaign.
The lights are intended to bring awareness to heart disease, symptoms and prevention, particularly for women.
Approximately 6.6 million women have coronary heart disease, and 64 percent who suddenly die of heart failure don't have any symptoms, which you find here.
The County of San Diego is offering free blood pressure checks on Valentine's Day at 450 locations.
