Getting Antsy About Getting Out of the House During Pandemic

Everyone is getting antsier and antsier to get out of the house and go somewhere.

For a month and a half now, stay at home orders have meant staying at home most of the time, and working from home if you are not allowed to work at work

And if you’re one of those who has been furloughed, you’re probably even antsier about wanting things to at least start getting back to some kind of normal..

And that’s why mental health experts say it’s a good idea to do something outside the house, working outside in the yard, taking walks or jogs in open areas, taking a drive in your virus proof car to look at the mountains or look, but not touch the beaches.

Even the President is getting antsy according to reports this week…having had to stay at the White House week after week after week And now some senior advisors are reported to be considering plans for President Trump to go visit health care workers, first responders, other essential workers as well as some furloughed workers.

With social distancing expected to still be the rule for a while yet, his advisors say that if the President does leave the White House to make visits like that, it would be done in a safe and responsible way.

That’s good advice for all of us who are antsy about getting out and getting back…when some of the public health orders are lifted.

Be safe and be responsible. Because as we learned this week from Dr. Fauci, COVID-19 is still going to be around for much of 2020.
