Legoland Brings Hundreds Of Jobs To The Area With New Attraction

Legoland California Resort is bringing hundreds of jobs to the area with the opening of a new experience.

The new attraction, Build 'N Play Days, starts Friday, March 5, and offers a variety of activities, including play structures within the park, live entertainment, and much more.

A Legoland representative told NBC7 the park will be bringing back hundreds of employees for the limited-time event.

The event will run from now until May 2.

When Legoland was forced to shut down last March, thousands of employees were furloughed.

Some were brought back when hotels reopened at 70% capacity and Miniland opened to hotel guests and patrons of The Big Shop.

However, rides and other attractions still remain closed.

San Diego remains in the most restrictive purple tier in California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Most of the state advanced to the red tier this week.

Under the state's blueprint, theme parks cannot fully reopen until the county they are located within reaches the least-restrictive yellow tier. State legislatures have been working to get theme parks opened sooner.

Legoland California Resort President Kurt Stocks said he's optimistic they'll be able to reopen in the near future, which is why they are looking to hire people.
