The California Children's Hospital Association is urging families to fully vaccinate all eligible children and adults against COVID-19.
The statement issued by Rady Children's Hospitals and the association comes after the CDC reported a 100-percent increase in new pediatric hospitalizations in the last week. SEE STATEMENT BELOW.
COVID-19 Hospitalizations Jump at Rady Children's Hospital
On Monday, Dr. John Bradley, Rady Children's Hospital Medical Director of Infectious Diseases, told KOGO News there were about two dozen children in their COVID isolation ward and two in ICU. The children, he says, either were admitted due to COVID-19 or tested positive after their arrival. He says that is a tripling of the number of hospitalizations of children just in the last week.
