Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner Dies

Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner has died at the age of 82.

The Voice of San Diego, that first reported his death, said he died on April 20th.

Filner served as a member of Congress and then Mayor before accusations of sexual assault and harassment forced him from office.

He quit just nine months after taking office as mayor and later pleaded guilty to one count of felony false imprisonment and two counts of misdemeanor battery.

Filner, in 2013, was sentenced to 90 days home confinement and three years probation.
