'Racism Lives Here' Signs Found In Coronado Neighborhoods

Residents of Coronado Island, CA woke up on Wednesday to find election-style yard signs installed in their front yards that said "Racism Lives Here". The signs resemble 2016 Trump presidential election signs, and include the "Make America Great Again" slogan.

A handful of residents called police, who made visits to three homes but say that the installation of the signs was not a crime. Coronado Police Department Spokesperson Lea Corbin told NBC 7 that "Simply placing a sign in another’s yard may be unwanted but [is] not a crime." Corbin also explained that the department does not know why some yards were targeted and not others.

Coronado is known for its affluent homes and the historic beachside resort Hotel Del Coronado.
