It's Snowing In San Diego

Monday night's storm added a nice blanket of snow around parts of San Diego County.

The storm brought rain and snow to the county's higher elevation areas, including Palomar Mountain, Mount Laguna, and Julian. How much snow? Approximately, 5 inches!

As usual, the snow will attract a large number of San Diegans looking to experience a bit of winter, while many businesses will enjoy the influx of visitors.

The snow prompted road closures and a few school closures in Julian, including Mountain Empire Unified, Spencer Valley, and Warner Unified. If you're going to these areas, please check local conditions and CalTrans as chains may be required.

There's still a chance for more rain (and snow) throughout San Diego County through tonight.
