New Campaign Ad for President Trump Uses Avengers Villain

The newest message from the 2020 Trump re-election campaign is drawing cheers and jeers.

President Trump's campaign has released a video comparing him to the villain Thanos from the Avengers movies. The video was released Tuesday on the Trump War Room Twitter account, which is managed by the Team Trump 2020 campaign. On the video, Trump's head is superimposed on Thanos, and, using a scene from "Avengers: Infinity War," he snaps his fingers to make top Democrats disintegrate, saying as Thanos, "i am inevitable."

The video was released after House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against Trump, charging him with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. In the Avengers movie, Thanos is a genocidal villain who snaps his fingers to destroy half of all life in the universe.
