California state health officials released the weekly update Tuesday on the color-coded four-tiered system of monitoring the progress or lack of progress by each county in lowering the coronavirus case rate to determine re-openings.
San Diego will remain in the Red tier for another week at least but each week's update from the state causes local businesses along with places of worship and schools wonder if we will fall back to a more restrictive tier or move ahead to a less restrictive tier. And as each week goes by, the debate over opening too slowly or opening too quickly will go on, just as the pandemic has gone on…and on longer than most of us had hoped 7 months ago when it all began.
