The whole world is watching. It is President Biden’s first formal news conference since taking office in late January.
And now here in late March, two months later, a lot of big things have been going on since. The $1.9 trillion dollar COVID relief measure, the massive rollout of vaccinations, and of course the big surge of migrants at the border. And along with these big things, there have been the tragic deadly shootings in Colorado and Georgia.
And the politics of all these big things has been just as big…with both parties pointing fingers at each other and fighting over almost every thing. Social media is filled with what to expect from the President’s first news conference. What will he say, how will he say it, will the questions be hard or easy?
Unlike the two presidents before him, Joe Biden has been around in Congress and the White House for decades, so standing in front of cameras with millions of people watching you is nothing new for him. But what is new is that he is now the one in charge, the one who now holds what is known as the biggest and most important job in the world. And when you are president of the United States, other world leaders will be watching you and listening closely to what you say.
It is a big day for the president about big things. And whatever happens, it will be big news.
