You might say the friendly skies have never been more unfriendly with fights breaking out among passengers. Most of the incidents they say have been about passengers not wearing masks.
The pandemic has made everyone a little grouchy and on edge at times and has affected relationships between friends and even family members at times. The disagreements and disputes over wearing masks or not wearing masks, getting vaccinated or not getting vaccinated are outgrowths from the COVID virus. But its affect on our physical health has been only part of it.
The stress and strain of the pandemic has affected our mental and social health and even our spiritual health.
A recent Gallup poll found that for the first time in more than 80 years, the the percentage of Americans who say they regularly go to a church or house of worship is less than half. To be fair, with the shutdowns and lockdowns over more than a year, many church goers have become church viewers, watching worship services online. There also are many who say their anxiety over the pandemic, that has led to serious illness and lots of deaths, has led them to seek some spiritual help.
As for how to get along with each other during the continued pandemic worries, the best advice has been around since Biblical times, treat others as you want to be treated. That’s a cure that can help us now and even after the pandemic.
