What Winter Storm Means for San Diego

When the weather makes news in San Diego, it usually means it has to be really unusual or really bad.

The forecast for the next three days is not all that unusual and won’t be all that bad. And as usual, one person’s bad weather is another person’s good weather.

Some like it hot, some like it cold. Some like it dry, some like rain. Some like sunny skies every day, some like the morning clouds every day.

And of course, there’s the snow. Some like snow, even if you have to drive to the mountains to see it and feel it. And some, mostly who came from cold and snowy winter states, have no interest in snow.

If you are one of those who likes snow, a word of caution as this storm approaches with the National Weather Service predicting possible white-out driving conditions with wind and snow up in the mountains.

And while we’re not supposed to get a lot of rain, and whether you like it or don’t like it, we certainly do need it.  We are below our average rainfall. And while we may be used to living with droughts from time to time here in California, no one likes them or wants them. So, any rain is welcome rain from any kind of storm. So, bring it on. We’re ready.
