We all know that getting a good night’s sleep is good for your health. But if you’re having a hard time getting a good sleep every night, you’re not alone.
A new survey of about 2,000 Americans found that just two out of five of them rate the quality of their sleep at night as excellent and only a third of adults say they feel refreshed when they get up in the morning. The survey also found that about two-thirds of people say they have trouble falling asleep because they think about the things, they have to do the next day.
Researchers say the average person falls asleep by 10 pm, but about 20-percent say they go to bed later than 10 pm. Those who describe their sleep as “excellent” say they go to bed on average at 9:39 p.m. And the study also found that younger people go to bed earlier than older people with millennials the most likely to go to bed the earliest at 9:49 p.m., followed by Gen X and baby boomers.
Now you know what you can do and not do to get a better night’s sleep if you’re worried about how to get a good night’s sleep. But...just try not to think about it tonight when you go to sleep.
