How to Power Down Prices and Inflation

Inflation is affecting pretty much everyone these days, from gasoline to food to housing.

Thanks to the pandemic and now the war in Ukraine, it’s now harder for everyone, forcing many to cut back and trim costs or get a second job.

The latest example of the impact is the report this week from the San Diego Union Tribune about how many in San Diego and up and down the state are behind on paying their bills for electricity and natural gas

According to the report, San Diego Gas & Electric says more than 356,000 residential customers have missed payment deadlines through March. That comes out to 27 percent of SDG&E residential customers being behind on their bills. And the numbers are even bigger for the other power companies in California.

The bad news is the situation is unlikely to get better anytime soon. There is no easy and quick solution to lowering inflation of prices we pay for virtually everything.

So, for now, as it is said, we have to grin, and that’s not easy, and bear it, which also is not easy.

It sure would be nice if our government leaders in both parties deflated their egos and partisan views and instead worked together to inflate their efforts to reduce inflation.
