Remember the war in Ukraine?
It may sound strange to you to ask such a question. But almost all the news this week we saw on the cable news channels and the big TV News networks was NOT about Ukraine.
It’s been almost all about the January 6th House Select Committee, what Donald Trump did or didn’t do and when did he do it or not do it, and about the battle over the gun safety in Congress and about gas prices and gas taxes and of course, the U.S. Supreme Court.
There has been a lot of news about Ukraine, it just hasn’t been in the headlines much.
Yet the European Union moving forward with a plan to make Ukraine part of tat Union is big news. And so is the pullout of Ukrainian military forces out of a major city in Eastern Ukraine that Russian forces have been bombing into oblivion is big news.
And the ongoing story about the suffering among the Ukrainian people and the millions who are refugees remains a huge story.
Just some thoughts to remember so we remember that what’s happening and will happen in Ukraine is and will be big news.
