New Studies on How to Live Longer

Some new studies are out about what to do if you want to live longer.

People who drink at least one cup of coffee a day had a 12% lower incidence of death due to heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, respiratory problems, or kidney disease. And it was even better among those who had two or three cups of coffee a day.

Another study found that where you live plays a role in helping to live longer. The findings showed that people in Washington state were more likely to reach the age of one hundred. The study doesn’t say but maybe it’s all that rain they get.

A study also found that people living in well-off urban and small-town areas tend to live longer, adding to what the researchers say is growing evidence that social and environmental factors contribute to longevity.

All of these studies agree that genetics play a major role when it comes to lifespan. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to do things that are good for your health.

But something to keep in mind when it comes to lifespan. With lots of studies over the years about how stress negatively affects your health, it’s probably not a good idea to spend all your time worrying about it.
