There were a lot of Happy Easter greetings on Sunday. Family members, friends and even those you may not even know wishing you a Happy Easter.
And that’s a good thing. But we could use wishes for happiness every day.
One day after the happiness of Easter, most of the news we hear and see today is not very happy.
There is the continued news about the ongoing war, destruction and deaths in Ukraine. There are the rising tensions between the U.S. and China and the U.S and Iran. There are rocket attacks and violence in the Middle East.
There is the seemingly growing divisive and nasty political fighting over the former President and the current President. And then the news on this day after Easter of shootings, from a mall in Delaware to the fatal shooting Sunday in our county in Bonita.
And then there is the Nathan Fletcher resignation story today with his colleagues and voters who not surprisingly are very angry and very unhappy about it.
With all this unhappy news on this day after wishing each other a Happy Easter, we do need to remember that we all have things that we are happy about, that could include our job, our family, our friends and our faith.
And as trite as it may sound, there is something to thinking happy thoughts to help you feel happier.
