What is Real About Artificial Intelligence

President Biden is talking about it today during his trip to Northern California. And more and more people are talking about it.

It is AI or artificial intelligence. And we are learning that there is nothing artificial about this newest technology.

It is something that is very real, made by real people, very smart ones, ostensibly to help all people.

But there are growing questions about AI, even among those who created and developed it.  Such as how it already is impacting us and how it will in the future as AI grows in its use.

And there are real concerns about how artificial intelligence is and will be affecting jobs and what people do for a living. A new report says that those who work with their hands may have more job security.

A leading expert in the field of artificial intelligence believes that those who engage in manual labor, who use dexterity for their jobs — people like plumbers, construction workers, and carpenters — are likely safe from the spread and impact from AI.

But he warns that other employees who perform the kinds of duties that could be done using AI technology, such as those that already are or similar jobs, such as taking phone calls should be concerned.

The real concern about artificial intelligence is whether we will be smart enough to know how to use it wisely and responsibly.
