Have you been to the airport lately? San Diego International has become a crowded and crazy place lately.
The flight delays and cancellations across the country in recent weeks stemming from stormy weather, the spreading smoke from Canada’s wildfires and the huge increase in travelers so far in this post COVD summer have all had a big impact.
And this is all happening as all the construction on the new Terminal One is going on all day and all night, which has made getting to and from the airport a bigger hassle.
You hear the advice from airport officials and our traffic reporters, pack some patience with your luggage. And you hear the advice from the TSA about knowing the rules for what you can and cannot take with you onto the flights to help prevent the security process from taking longer.
Airline travel is expected to remain busy with more and more people getting back into the skies after the pandemic.
The good news is that while the new Terminal One is not expected to be completed for a few years yet, after having an airport for too many years being too small for a city of our size, San Diego International is becoming what it should be for America’s Finest City.
