There’s a question being asked a lot these days. Maybe you’ve heard it. Maybe you’ve even asked it. It’s being asked because of what we see happening in the world including San Diego.
The latest news about more antisemitic flyers being distributed in La Mesa and other neighborhoods is one of the latest antisemitic incidents among many others happening around the country.
Of course, the war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group has ignited some of this.
But it’s been happening for a long time. A very long time and long before this current war. And even before Israel became a state in the late 1940s.
The holocaust in the last century was clearly the worst example of the hatred of Jews, but goes back long before that.
So then the question is, why have Jewish people been hated so much? The answers are both theological and societal.
And it also is clearly evident that hate is not confined to just the Jews. Hate has been around forever but it sure seems as if there is more of it now.
So what to do about it? Maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger has an answer. His viral video is getting lots of views right now because it is a message about hate.
