Questions About Weekend Shootings in San Diego and Elsewhere

Another Monday morning waking up to news stories about shootings in various cities across the country and asking yourself what is going on.

And that of course includes San Diego this past weekend, as you’ve been hearing about with two teens dead at a house party in one of three shootings here.

There were similar incidents at Halloween weekend parties in Texarkana Texas, where 6 people were killed, in Tampa Florida where two people were killed and in Indianapolis Indiana where one woman was killed.

All of these were at parties where fights broke out or some kind of altercation resulted in deaths. And all were older teens or younger adults.

And these violent incidents are the only ones we are hearing about, with likely a few more we aren’t hearing about yet. So yes, this all does make you ask, what’s going on?

Crime and violence are not new of course.  But it sure seems as if there is more of it going on,

Most of these incidents involved angry arguments or fights. So why are so many people getting mad and being mean to others? And why do these people shoot other people?

Some disturbing and difficult questions for a Monday morning that need to be asked, and maybe one day answered.
