There’s been a lot of talk and news stories recently about the number of people who are leaving California to move somewhere else. The cost of living has a lot to do with it, of course, with our higher costs for housing and gas.
There are a variety of reasons why people decide to move. A different job, to be closer to family or to leave very cold or very hot weather.
It’s believed that the average American moves an average of five times in their lives, often not a long distance from where they are but sometimes very far.
A new study has found that 40-percent of Americans are thinking about moving. But another survey found that one out of eight Americans never want to move, saying they would consider it worse than spending time in jail.
So now comes along a compilation of nearly a dozen best places to live lists to see what are considered, according to these various reviewers, to be the top five best cities in the U.S.
Of course, lists like these are all subjective, but here we go.
The five cities are Ann Arbor Michigan, Raleigh North Carolina, Huntsville Alabama, Fayetteville Arkansas, and Colorado Springs Colorado.
Kind of surprising isn’t it? But a word of caution. The grass is not always greener somewhere else, right?
