Early voting got underway this week in California and some voters showed up at the San Diego County Registrar of Voters office to cast their vote the first day early voting opened.
Ballot drop-off boxes are already in place where voters can deposit their ballots.
But before you decide when you’re going to vote, you might want to take some time to study the ballot a bit because there are a lot of issues and candidate races to decide on.
It can seem overwhelming after you first take a look at not only the number of decisions but the important nature of the decisions voters are asked to make in this election, from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
There are 10 statewide propositions and multiple local measures on the ballot including several tax hike proposals.
There are multiple races for state senate and state assembly, races for mayors, races for city councils, races for school boards and more.
In other words, you might want to take some time before you just start marking up your ballot to study up a bit before you drop off or cast our ballot.
Being a voter is not just about voting but being a well-informed before you vote.
