If you’ve already voted in the election om November 5th or if you have read through your election mailer with a rundown of what’s on your ballot, you know how many issues and races you are being asked to vote on.
If you haven’t yet voted or looked at the mailer, then it’s probably a good idea to take some time now to do it or certainly before Election Day if you wait till then to vote.
There are 10 statewide propositions on the California ballot and the explanations of them and the arguments pro and con about them can be confusing and hard to understand.
But there is one ballot measure, according to the latest polling, that is not only getting most of the attention, but also one that most voters say they are most interested in.
That’s Prop 36, the one that would increase penalties for some theft and drug related crimes. All those videos of the smash and grab retail thefts probably have a lot to do with it with the latest polling showing that more than 70-percernt of voters plan to vote for it.
Yet there are still two sides, as there always seems to be on almost everything, with two different approaches you read about the voter guides.
But no matter what side you’re on, everyone agrees that crime is a major issue for pretty much everybody.
