WATCH: Is it Finally Time to Not Change the Time?

So he we go again. It’s time to change our clocks again.  We do it twice every year. From Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time now and in the Fall from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time…and on and on it goes..as it has year after year for many years.

But could the clock be ticking toward when things finally might change and time won’t?

Polls have show a lot of support for making Daylight Saving Time the Standard Time with no going back and forth. Ot just staying on Standard Time,

But many states, including California, Oregon and the state of Washington, have approved laws or passed resolutions to provide for year-round Daylight Saving Time.

The Department of Transportation says it saves energy, prevents traffic accidents and reduces after-dark crimes.

The time changes started a long time ago during WW1 to conserve coal. And then in 1966, Congress passed the Uniform Time Act because of the random way states had been observing daylight saving time.

To make Daylight Saving Time always the time Congress has to act.

Given the fact that Congress has a history of taking a long time if ever to get things done, it may take some time before Daylight Saving Time becomes the permanent time, but it looks like most Americans would say it’s about time.
