With the record temperatures over the weekend and gas prices soaring with even longer lines of people filling up their gas tanks at Costo, it was a weekend to remember in San Diego.
Throw in the change to Daylight Saving Time and the lost of hour of sleep that goes with it, and it was even more memorable.
When you break a record for a downtown temperature with it hitting 80 degrees, that goes way back to 1875, that’s something to remember.
And the rising temperatures happened as gas prices soared to highs we haven’t seen for four years and with expectations that gas prices could soar higher than the all-time record in 2022 of $6.43 cents a gallon in the coming days.
The conflict with Iran and the resulting slowdown in the production and shipment of oil out of the Middle East means gas prices are going up every day.
And that means those lines at Costco could be getting even longer with everyone wanting to fill up before they go even higher.
And as gas prices keep rising, and an expected rise in the prices for other products because of it, what else is probably rising are consumers’ tempers.
