Third Hepatitis A Death-The Disease Is Now In Jails

There are now three deaths in San Diego County due to Hepatitis A. Dozens of people have been hospitalized. Most of the Hepatitis A is in the homeless community.

Some people who are homeless have been in jail, and the disease is now in the County jails,  with exposure at the Central Jail, Vista, and the George Bailey Detention Facility.

The best protection against the disease is a vaccine.
