Mental illness among children and teenagers is quite common, yet many families don't know how to ask for help.
Dr. Cheryl Rode Ph.D, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience with youth and teens and is the Vice President of Clinical Operations at the San Diego Center for Children.
She tells KOGO news parents may not recognize symptoms in their children which often accompany problems at school.
The most important thing, she says, is to ask for help, as these issues are treatable.
